The Mall of Asia Arena is the busiest big-ticket venue in the Philippines — an SM-operated indoor arena on the edge of Manila Bay, inside the Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay. It opened in 2012 and holds roughly 15,000 for a concert, rising to about 20,000 in full sports configuration. Most major international tours that come to Manila land here, along with PBA and PVL finals and large awards shows. There is no train station at the door, so allow extra time on show nights: the approach roads back up two to three hours before a sold-out event, and the exit crush afterwards is the part most people underestimate.
